🎙 TAKING THE STAGE

We are less than two months away from the start of the 2024
Baylor football season and after enjoying some fireworks this weekend, the Bears are taking the stage in one of America’s brightest cities.

This time next week, Coach Aranda and five representatives of the Bears will be taking the stage at Big 12 Media Day at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Helping preview next season for Baylor will be Ketron Jackson Jr.,
Carl Williams IV, Keaton Thomas, Matt Jones and Richard Reese.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 59 DAYS

Number of the Day: 59.

59 was the total of TFLs that the Baylor defense piled up last season.

In five different games, including the first four of the 2023 season,
the Bears tallied six or more TFLs.

🏆 BUILDING CHAMPIONS

Each month, the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence selects four champions of the month.

This award recognizes student-athletes who achieve their personal bests in the areas of academic achievement, athletic success, character formation and spiritual growth.

Each of these student-athletes was nominated by a SACE team member based upon their embodiment of each of the four pillars.

Nathaniel Ezekiel (Track & Field), Lauren Stebbins (equestrian), Kaian Roberts-Day (football) and Jada Walker (women’s basketball) have been selected as the June Champions of the Month.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: AVERY SKINNER

On this week’s episode we are joined by Avery Skinner, a former
Baylor Volleyball star who is set to suit up for Team USA in this
summer’s Paris Olympics.

Avery, the daughter of Baylor basketball legend Brian Skinner, won the
national championship with Kentucky before coming to finish her
collegiate career at her father’s alma mater. Now, after shining in
international play, Skinner is looking to help push Team USA
to a second consecutive gold medal.

Throughout the summer, Coach Aranda will join alumni and fans
across the state on the Texas Tour.

Fans can join Coach Aranda for an opportunity to learn more about the culture of excellence that Baylor football is developing and what fans can expect to see on the field this fall. The following dates and locations are listed below:

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

🇧🇸 FLYING THE FLAG

While he hasn’t played a single minute for the Baylor men’s hoops squad yet, incoming freshman VJ Edgecombe is already making a name on the international stage.

This week, Edgecombe was named to the Bahamas National team for the qualifying stage of the 2024 Olympics. He will suit up alongside pros like DeAndre Ayton, Buddy Hield and Eric Gordon… just to name a few.
