📈 STOCK UP

🔺 We Talkin’ Bout Practice. Hoops season is officially here!

Take off work a little early and head on over to the Ferrell Center to take in the first official practice for Baylor Women’s Hoops!

Tip-off for the 2023-24 campaign is just 42 days away and we can’t wait!

🔺 Showin Out On Sunday. Entering this weekend, Terrel Bernard had been waiting for his breakout moment.

In his 20th NFL game, that moment game.

The former Bear was fantastic in Buffalo’s big win in Washington, registering his first two career sacks and his first INT. On the season, he now has 24 tackles in the first three games to lead the Bills to a 2-1 start.

🔺 Toeing The Line. The 3rd-ranked Longhorns used a 21-point second quarter to pull away from Baylor’s football squad on Saturday in front of a sold out McLane Stadium as Texas came away with a 38-6 victory.

"Disappointed in the performance and the execution," said Baylor coach Dave Aranda, whose team fell to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in league play. "We couldn't get anything going from the very beginning offensively. . . . Guys are hurting, and we all are. It's something that needs to be fixed, and our intention is to fix it."

🔺 Quite a First Impression. Baylor’s men’s tennis squad opened their 2023-24 season by playing literally all over North America.

The Bears had competitors in tournaments in San Francisco, Stillwater and Torreon, Mexico this past weekend.

Highly touted freshman Louis Bowden made quite a first impression in his debut for the Green & Gold, earning Team Big 12 MVP honors after picking up two victories on the weekend.

🔺 Keep Fighting. Taking on a nationally-ranked opponent is never easy. Doing so in back-to-back matches ratchet that task up a notch. 

That’s what the BU futbol squad found themselves in the midst of on Sunday, dropping a tough 2-0 decision to #25 Texas Tech.

The Bears hit the road after a long homestand, taking on both Kansas teams this week beginning with a trip to battle the Jayhawks on Thursday night at 7 pm.

Terrel Bernard picked up not only his first NFL INT on Sunday, but also had his first two professional sacks.

The three-time All-Big 12 honoree was in the opponent’s backfield throughout his five seasons in Waco.

Bernard had a career-best season as a senior to earn his second round selection by the Bills in 2022.

He had 7.5 sacks as senior and 16.5 total during his time at BU.
