Talking Baylor Hoops Hot Start & Recapping Baylor Football vs. Kansas State

On today’s show, we recap Baylor Football at Kansas State, but first we’ll talk Baylor hoops and the hot start for both the men and women.

We recap Baylor’s win over Gardner-Webb on Sunday to push the Bears to 3-0 and we will preview Baylor Women’s Basketball’s matchup vs. top 5 Utah coming up on Tuesday.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Balancing Bears. No, we’re not talking about the next circus act, we’re talking about Baylor’s 20th-ranked men’s basketball team.

Five players in double figures led a balanced offensive attack and the Bears pulled away against a fiesty Gardner-Webb squad for a 77-62 victory, the third BU win in the past six days.

Making his first start, freshman Yves Missi had 11 points, eight rebounds and five blocks, while classmate Ja'Kobe Walter had a team-high 14 points to lead the Bears to their second-straight home-court victory.

Three other players finished in double figures, with Jayden Nunn scoring 12, Langston Love 11 and Josh Ojianwuna with 10 points and eight rebounds.

🔺 Cinderella Sunday. One of NFL’s best stories is happening just up the road from Waco.

Not one, not ✌️, but 3️⃣ Bears are a part of that story as the unsung Houston Texans pulled off a massive upset of what many considered a Super Bowl contender in the Cincinnati Bengals.

Jalen Pitre, Grayland Arnold and Jon Weeks are right in the middle of the Texans locker room, who currently sit at 5-4 on the season and in a playoff spot if the season ended today.

Another Bear will be in action tonight during Monday Night Football, as Terrell Bernard and the Bills battle the Broncos.

🔺 Finishing Strong. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. That’s the saying we’re told throughout our lives.

Well, for the BU men’s tennis team, they took it to heart with a BIG finish to their fall season.

The Bears, who currently sit #47 nationally, piled up a 16-2 mark at the Big 12/Pac 12 Challenge in Stillwater. Those wins include ones over athletes from #40 Arizona and #45 Washington.
