📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Knight Night. It was one of those nights for Aliyah Binford.

Baylor’s two-way star proved to be the difference in the Big 12 Quarterfinals, tossing a complete game in the circle and blasting her first HR of the year to propel the Bears past UCF, 3-2, on Thursday night in OKC.

In the circle, Binford tossed seven strong innings, striking out 10 UCF hitters.

The win is the 10th in the past 11 games for BU and they enter tonight’s semifinal matchup against #1 Texas on a seven-game winning streak.

🔺 Three Of A Kind. It was a historic night for Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi and the Baylor track and field squad.

On the opening day of Big 12 Championships, the junior won a third-straight conference championship with a new meet record and season best toss of 262-6.

In addition to Prosper Nnamdi, BU’s women’s hammer throwing duo made history and five other runners qualified for finals on Saturday.

🔺 Earning Her Stripes. She may have only been in Waco for one year, but her impact was undeniable.

Now, Avery Skinner has an opportunity to make an impact on the global stage.

This week, the former BU star was named to the preliminary roster for Team USA for the upcoming Volleyball Nations League.

Volleyball Nations League is the world’s premier annual international indoor volleyball tournament. The top 16 teams in the world play four matches a week for three weeks of preliminary competition. The top eight teams at the end of the preliminaries will go to the Final Round.

Coaches will select 14 athletes from the long list to compete at the United States’ VNL stops in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (May 15-19), Arlington, Texas (May 28-June 2) and Fukuoka, Japan (June 11-16). The VNL Final Round is scheduled for June 20-23 in Bangkok, Thailand.

👏 WHAT IT’S ALL ABOUT!

Sure, the championships, wins, trophies and so much more are awesome.

But this, this is what it’s all about! Congrats to all the BU student-athletes who are graduating this spring!

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: ROSIE BELSHAM

On today’s episode, we’re joined by Baylor
women’s golf senior Rosie Belsham

A native of Whitley Bay, England, Rosie grew up playing
field hockey and golf, but ultimately stuck with the latter
after winning tournaments and rising up the youth ranks overseas.

Rosie has found a home away from home here in Waco,
and has turned her time at Baylor into multiple All-Big 12
team selections, and has quickly become one of the
best athletes in Baylor women’s golf history.

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.

A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams.

On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
