🎙 INSIDE BAYLOR SPORTS

Shining Bright On The Diamond

On today’s show we congratulate and recognize Baylor Softball Head Coach Glenn Moore on winning his 900th career game for Baylor Softball,

Plus we discuss a big win for Baylor Women’s Tennis and

📈 STOCK UP

🔺  A Tre From Shea. On a night where his former BU teammate made his big league debut, Shea Langeliers stole the show in Arlington.

The former Bear had the biggest night of his professional career with not one, not two, but THREE HRs in a 4-3 win for the A’s over the defending World Series Champion, Texas Rangers.

🔺  Give ‘Em Some More. Another gem from RyLee Crandall and a couple timely hits provided all that was needed for the 21st-ranked Baylor softball squad.

The Bears went on the road on Tuesday and picked up a hard-fought 2-1 win over UTSA.

The victory was a big one for head coach Glenn Moore, who added to his coaching resume with his 900th career victory.

🔺 Comeback Kids. Oh the sweet comforts of home.

The 34th-ranked Baylor women’s tennis team enjoyed being home on Tuesday, using a comeback to defeat in-state rival and 45th-ranked SMU, 4-2.

With the win, BU has now won nine of their 10 home matches this season and are set to host a HUGE weekend with #20 Oklahoma and #8 Texas coming to town.

🔺 All Tuned Up. Now, it’s go time.

On Tuesday, the Baylor women’s golf team finished up play at the Veritex Bank Texas Showdown with a 2.5-2.5 tie against UCF to claim third-place in the match play portion of the event.

Junior Sera Hasegawa won both of her matches on Tuesday, extending her career match play record to 11-1.

Now, all the focus shifts to the upcoming Big 12 Championships that begin next week in Hockley, Texas.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: ALEXIS BROWN

On this week’s episode we’re joined by Baylor Track & Field’s Alexis Brown

The 2024 Indoor All-American is in the midst of an incredible senior year for the Bears, but getting to this point in her career has not come without some challenges.

Now, Alexis is fully healthy and at her best, and is continuing to strive for excellence.

🤔 SIC ’EM TRIVIA

Even before Shea Langeliers hit any of his three HRs on Tuesday in Arlington, it was already a big night for Baylor alums as THREE Bears shared the field together with Davis Wendzel making his MLB debut, playing 3B and batting seventh for the Rangers.

With his debut, how many Bears have now played in the MLB?

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES

Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.

A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams.

On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.
