🔺 The Closers. It’s not how you start, it’s how you finish.
That was the mantra for the BU women’s golf team at the opening round of the NCAA Regionals on Monday at the Las Vegas Regional.
After a rough start, the Bears closed the opening round strong. BU played the back nine at 9-under 135, 22 shots better than the 13-over 157 it shot on the front nine.
Finishing at 4-over 292, the Bears sit in fifth place heading into today’s second round. The top five teams after 54 holes will advance to the NCAA Championships.
BU's Sera Hasegawa shot a second-nine 32 to blaze a trail into the clubhouse in a tie for sixth at 1-under.
🔺 Tourney Time. And now, it’s go time.
Winners of nine of its past 10, the Baylor softball squad heads into Championship Week red hot after yet another Big 12 series sweep this past weekend.
Heading to OKC later this week, the Bears enter as the Big 12 Tournament as the fourth seed and have a date with fifth-seeded UCF on Thursday night at 6:30 pm.
🔺 Three Of A Kind. What a year on the courts for the Baylor tennis programs.
The Bears wrapped up their seasons this past weekend in the NCAA first round, but not before the Green & Gold took home some Big 12 accolades.
On the women’s side, Miska Kadleckova earned Second Team honors in the singles courts, while Tadeas Paroulek and Zsombor Velcz landed on the All-Big 12 second team in doubles. Paroulek also earned second-team accolades in singles.
🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: ROSIE BELSHAM
On today’s episode, we’re joined by Baylor
women’s golf senior Rosie Belsham.
A native of Whitley Bay, England, Rosie grew up playing
field hockey and golf, but ultimately stuck with the latter
after winning tournaments and rising up the youth ranks overseas.
Rosie has found a home away from home here in Waco,
and has turned her time at Baylor into multiple All-Big 12
team selections, and has quickly become one of the
best athletes in Baylor women’s golf history.
🎥 BAYLOR+: MEET THE NEW BEARS
It was a big week for the BU hoop squads as both programs added big additions from the transfer portal.
Baylor+ caught up with both Jeremy Roach and Aaronette Vonleh to talk about their excitement in coming to Waco and why they chose BU.

🎉 CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES
Long ago, Kool & The Gang taught us to Celebrate Good Times and on Nov. 2nd, Baylor will do exactly that.
A pair of 11-2 and Big 12 Conference Championship teams will be celebrated during the upcoming 2024 Baylor Football season, as the Bears plan to recognize student-athletes from the 2013 and 2014 teams.
On Nov. 2 when Baylor plays TCU at McLane Stadium, the program will commemorate the 2013 and 2014 Big 12 Conference Championship teams.

Answer: Gurleen Kaur.
That’s right, Ashleen’s older sister, Gurleen, shot a 3-under 69 in the first round of the Austin Regional in 2018.
