🏈 SEE YA IN SAN ANTONIO

For the past four-plus seasons, Gabe Hall tortured opposing offensive lines and QBs.

Now, the former Bear will do so at the professional level as the star defensive lineman was a first-round pick in this week’s UFL College Draft.

Hall, who was a three-year started at BU, was selected by the San Antonio Brahmas.

The 2025 UFL season commences in late March and runs through early June.

🏐 ACES APLENTY

Last year’s Baylor volleyball squad served up plenty of aces
on the court AND in the classroom.

This week, the Bears earned the AVCA Team Academic Award,
sponsored by INTENT for the third-straight season.

The Bears earned a 3.41 average GPA for the 2023-24 academic year,
with a 3.44 in the fall and 3.37 in the spring. Baylor has earned
the award seven times during McGuyre's tenure.

A record number of volleyball programs have earned the AVCA Team
Academic Award with more than 1,400 collegiate and high school volleyball programs maintaining a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale
(or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence
during the recently completed academic year.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 43 DAYS

Number of the Day: 43

The year: 2011.
The opponent: Washington
The Game: The Valero Alamo Bowl

With time winding down and the Bears holding a four-point lead
over the Huskies, Terrance Gannaway capped off a huge day with
a 43-yard TD run to put the game away and lead BU to a thrilling
67-53 bowl victory over the Huskies.

It was a historic day for Gannaway, as that TD run capped off
a 200-yd, five-TD day.

🏀 SUMMERTIME SHININ’

The Bear takeover in Vegas has been strong over the past few weeks at the 2024 NBA Summer League.

As the Summer League wraps up this weekend in Vegas, there’s still plenty of chances to catch former Bears in action.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: NICK FLORENCE

On this week’s episode, we’re catching up with legendary
Baylor quarterback and fan favorite Nick Florence.

During his time behind center, Florence set Baylor’s single-game and
single-season passing yards records, while being named an All-American,
Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year, and a member of the All-Big 12 First Team.

Now, Florence remains an active member of the Waco community and
serves as the Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts here at his alma mater.
