🔺 Tourney Time. Time to dance!

For the eighth straight season, the Bears will hit the court today in Lexington for the NCAA Tournament, taking on the seventh-seeded Dukes of James Madison.

It’s the 12th overall appearance in program history and eighth during Coach McGuyre’s tenure.

Junior Elise McGhee leads the Bears as the third-year standout earned First Team All-Big 12 honors earlier this week.

🔺 Hitting The Road. Five straight wins in front of the home crowd.

Now? It’s time to hit the road.

The 13th-ranked Baylor women’s team travels I-35 to Dallas tonight for a showdown with SMU, the 40th all-time meeting between the two programs.

While the Mustangs hold the overall head-to-head series lead (22-17), this is just the second meeting since 1996 with the Bears winning a 58-55 showdown in Waco last November.

🔺 Earning Accolades. Seven different Baylor standouts earned praise from the Big 12 this week.

With the league announcing their annual 2023 awards, junior wide receiver Monaray Baldwin, senior tight end Drake Dabney, senior defensive lineman TJ Franklin, senior defensive lineman Gabe Hall, freshman cornerback Caden Jenkins and senior linebacker Matt Jones each received votes at their position to earn All-Big 12 Honorable Mention status.

Additionally, Jenkins and freshman running back Dawson Pendergrass garnered votes for Defensive and Offensive Freshman of the Year, respectively.
