Ok, maybe we fudged the rules a little bit, but never a bad time
to recognize one of the all-time greats like Santana Dotson.

Dotson is one of just 10 Baylor players all-time to earn
an unanimous consensus All-American selection.

During his star studded 1991 season, he earned a spot as a finalist for the Lombardi Award and was named 1991 SWC Defensive Player of the Year for the Bears. He recorded 30 career TFLs in an impressive four seasons in Waco.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 Going Green. The Bears will once again be in the coveted Green Room at this year’s NBA Draft.

This week, BU standout JaKobe Walter received his invitation to be a part of the green room on draft night later this month.

Walter is coming off being named Big 12 Freshman of the Year and is looking to become Baylor’s sixth NBA lottery pick.

🔺 Can’t Catch Cameron. Kickoff may be a few months away still, but the early season praise is still rolling in.

This week, redshirt junior Josh Cameron earned a Preseason All-American nod from Phil Steele, being named as the punt returner on the fourth team.

Cameron ranked second in the Big 12 in 2023 with 15.5 yards per punt return, after returning 13 punts for a total of 201 yards. The native of Cedar Park, Texas, broke off a season-long 70-yard return at Kansas State on Nov. 11, the third-longest return in the league last season. He had five returns of at least 16 yards and did not lose a fumble in his first season as BU's return man.

Also a second-team preseason All-Big 12 selection, Cameron picks up his second-career honor as a punt returner after being named to the 2023 All-Big 12 Second Team by Phil Steele.

🔺 Three’s Company. After yet another trip to the NCAA Tournament this spring, the BU men’s tennis team is rolling in the honors.

This week, a trio of Bears were honored in the yearly ITA honors for the Texas Region.

The Bears filled the Texas Region Award categories with Devin Badenhorst being named the ITA Player to Watch, Louis Bowden earning the ITA Rafael Osuna Sportsmanship Award and Christopher Frantzen receiving the Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award for the second year in a row.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.

🎙 SIC ‘EM POD: CADEN JENKINS

On today’s episode we get to know Baylor Football’s Caden Jenkins.

The rising star and freshman All-American out of
Lewisville, Texas played in all 12 games for the Bears last season,

in a multitude of categories.

Now, after deciding to stay at Baylor and build on
last year’s incredible campaign, Caden is looking to elevate
his game and be a cornerstone for Coach Aranda’s defensive unit.
