🇳🇬 OUI OUI TO PARIS

This year’s Olympic Games in Paris are going to have PLENTY of Green & Gold on display.

Joining the slew of BU family members heading to the 2024 Olympic Games are track and field athletes Nathaniel Ezekiel and Chinecherem Prosper Nnamdi, who were been named to Team Nigeria's Olympic team this past week.

This will be both Ezekiel and Prosper Nnamdi's first appearance at the Olympic Games.

The track and field portion at the Paris Games begins August 1 and finishes August 11. The men's javelin throw event will begin on August 3 while the men's 400m hurdles will take place on August 5.

🎙 SIC ’EM POD: DAVID MURPHY

On this week’s episode we’re catching up with Baylor
baseball legend and former big leaguer David Murphy.

Murphy had an incredibly successful career in the Green & Gold that
included a 1st team All-American selection, and went on to hear
his name called in the first round in the 2003 MLB draft.

Now, after a long career in the majors, David Murphy
is continuing to pour into the game he loves.

⛳️ JOHNNY ON THE SPOT

While we were away, the Big 12 announced that for the third straight year, Baylor’s Johnny Keefer was named the Big 12 Men’s Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Keefer is only the third athlete in conference history to claim the award three times.

With Keefer's third selection, BU men's golf has now claimed the Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in five of the last eight seasons. He joins Matthew Perrine (2017) and Colin Kober (2019), contributing to Baylor's 32 scholar-athletes of the year, which is second-most in the Big 12.

🏈 COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF: 54 DAYS

Number of the Day: 54.

Today allows us to honor one of our own as #54 David Marshall Jr. is not only a member of our football squad, but also an honored veteran.

In the spring of 2023, Marshall joined the Bears after serving in the military.

The veteran is a redshirt sophomore eligibility wise and will enter the
2024 season at 26 and will be among the top-10 oldest players
in all of college football.

The Waxahachie, Texas native played his prep school ball at
Waxahachie High School and previously played at Navarro College.

Baylor football season and after enjoying some fireworks this weekend, the Bears are taking the stage in one of America’s brightest cities.

Later this week, Coach Aranda and five representatives of the Bears will be taking the stage at Big 12 Media Day at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Helping preview next season for Baylor will be Ketron Jackson Jr.,
Carl Williams IV, Keaton Thomas, Matt Jones and Richard Reese.

🎟 YOU PICK IT!

This week, Baylor Athletics unveiled a new Mini Plan option for the upcoming 2024 Football season.

The new “You Pick It” mini plan offers flexibility and allows fans to build their own mini-plan from three tiers of options to enjoy McLane Stadium this fall.

The Baylor Family can purchase the You Pick It mini plan for $225. Each plan includes the Bears' Homecoming Game on Oct. 26 against Oklahoma State and from there fans can build their plan based on their schedule for the remaining two games.
