🔺 What a Day CJ! Not too bad Rook.
What a day for freshman Caden Jenkins on Saturday in Orlando.
For his outstanding efforts against UCF, Jenkins earned Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week accolades as well as Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week.
After his first-career interception kickstarted Baylor's largest comeback in school history, Jenkins contributed again with a fourth-quarter fumble return for a touchdown in Saturday's 36-35 win at UCF. The 6-foot-1 first-year corner from Lewisville, Texas, snuffed out UCF's drive in the red zone with a pick on the BU 14-yard line with just 37 seconds remaining in the third quarter and the Bears trailing 35-10.
Nine minutes later, following two Baylor touchdowns and two-point conversions, Jenkins' 72-yard scoop and score swung the momentum heavily in BU's favor and brought the Bears back within two points.
Jenkins is the first Baylor freshman in program history to garner the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week honor.
🔺 Hitting the Mark. It’s been a busy week for the Baylor men’s tennis squad.
The Bears have been competing amongst the best in the country at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa and continue to have success.
Yesterday, junior Marko Miladinović put a W on his name with a thrilling 6-4, 6-1 victory.

Getting It Started. Baylor has won the past four of five meetings with the Red Raiders in a long-storied history between the two schools.
Overall, the Bears lead 41-39-1 in a head-to-head series that features countless battles over the years.
The last time the Red Raiders visited Waco, the Bears pulled out a 27-24 victory to cap off a perfect 7-0 home season.
In that game, Blake Shapen connected for a long TD within the first two minutes of the game to get BU started. Who caught that TD pass?

Just a 1:18 into the game back on Nov. 27, 2021, Ebner took a pass from Shapen and dashed 61 yards to paydirt to quickly stake BU out to a 7-0 lead.
