🔺 Kings Of New York. Sure, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade was nice, but the real kings of New York this past week was the Green & Gold.
For the fifth title in the past six tournaments and seventh time overall under Coach Drew, the Bears hoisted a in-season touranment trophy after a thrilling 95-91 win over Florida in the NIT Season Tip-Off Championship game.
Jalen Bridges made five 3-pointers and scored a season-high 23 points, while RayJ Dennis, the MAC Player of the Year last season at Toledo, scored 22 of his 24 points in the second half and finished with eight assists, four rebounds and three steals in earning tournament MVP honors.

🔢: Inside the Numbers (2023-24 Stats)
🔺 Drive To Five. Anytime you do something that hasn’t been done since a team that went 40-0 and won a national championship, you’re doing something right.
The 14th-ranked Baylor women’s squad moved to a perfect 5-0 with victories over McNeese (124-44) on Friday and Alcorn State (93-47) on Sunday.
It’s the first time since the 2011-12 team started the season with five straight 80-plus point performances.
In Friday’s win over McNeese, the Bears tied a program record with 15 3-pointers. In Sunday’s win, 13 different players scored with four in double-figures.
On the season, BU has been balanced and currently has SEVEN players scoring between 8.4 and 14.4 points per game.
🔺 Dancing Machine. Make it eight straight.
Prior to Coach McGuyre’s tenure, the BU volleyball program had been to four NCAA Tournaments in the program’s history.
Now, the Bears have made eight straight and their 12th overall appearance after the Green & Gold earned an at-large bid to the 2023 NCAA Tournament on Sunday.
Baylor draws seventh-seeded James Madison at the UK Regional. Game time in Lexington is set for 3:30 pm on Thursday, November 30.
🔺 Fought Til The End. The fall didn’t go the way they wanted, but no one can ever question the heart of the Bears.
With injuries, weather and much more piling up, the Baylor football team gave it their all to the final whistle of 2023, but a late score by visiting West Virginia dropped the Green & Gold, 34-31, in the season finale at McLane Stadium.
It was a historic day from Richard Reese as the sophomore scored on back-to-back kickoff returns for the first time in NCAA history.
