BU Hoops is officially back as the women’s hoops squad got the Bears in the W column on Monday night and now, it’s the men’s squad who hits the floor tonight in Sioux Falls.

🎥 BAYLOR+: ACCESS

Tonight, the Bears hit the floor for real for the first time in 2023-24.

To get ready for the season, the Bears took the floor in scrimmage competition and Baylor+ has all the action.

Get prepared for today’s opener with checking out and going behind-the-scenes as the Bears compete in their final scrimmage before the season officially gets underway.

🏀 GAME DAY

FINALLLLLLLLYYYY, the Bears are back in ACTION!

The action starts NOW as our men’s hoops squad hits the floor in Sioux Falls, S.D. to square off against SEC power Auburn.

Tip-off is set for 8 pm as the 20th-ranked Bears kicks off their season.

📈 STOCK UP

🔺 We Roll Deep. One thing is for sure, the 2023-24 BU women’s hoops team is DEEEEEP.

We saw a sneak preview in the exhibition win last week and on Monday night, the Bears put the full display on as four different players finished in double-figures in Baylor’s season-opening 85-53 home victory over Southern.

In her first outing as a Baylor Bear, Dre'Una Edwards poured in a game-high 20 points in just 19 minutes of action. The graduate senior went 9-for-10 from the floor and added four rebounds and a pair of steals in the effort.

Senior captain Sarah Andrews eclipsed 1,000-career points with her third three-pointer of the game in the fourth quarter and finished with 14 points in the game.

Newcomers Madison Bartley and Jada Walker joined Andrews and Edwards in double figures, finishing with 12 and 15 points, respectively.  

It’s BU’s 14th-straight season-opening victory.

🔺 They The Real MVPs. Over the weekend, student-athletes and BU athletics staff showed their appreciation for the Real MVPs for the Bears.

On Saturday, the SACE crew teamed with the Black Faculty & Staff Association for a barbecue, games and great fellowship.

On Sunday, the crew brought together student workers from around the athletic department for a great time of connection and appreciation.

Along one of Waco’s most respected drives, 15 minutes from Baylor, 10 minutes from Ridgewood Country Club and Lake Waco, sits this prominent community focal point.

With over 4800 sf feet in total with a fully equipped guest apartment included, on over an acre and a half - this Waco home is incomparable. Set back on the exceptionally large lot and peeking through hundred-year-old live oak trees, visitors are greeted by a distinguished wrought iron tracery and columns framing a southern French style front porch.

The entire estate has been meticulously restored, including electrical, plumbing, full finish out and more. In any major Texas city, this home would be unattainable and twice the expense. Here in Waco, it is one of the most prestigious and beautiful homes there is.

The Baylor Men's Basketball team added lots of new and exciting faces over the offseason, including Toledo transfer RayJ Dennis.

Tonight, the Bears start a challenging 2023-24 slate with a showdown in South Dakota with the Auburn Tigers.
